Sony has announced that beginning March 22 at 7:00 a.m. PT, the PlayStation VR Launch Bundle will be available for pre-order at participating retailers. Quantities are limited and it’s a pre-order exclusive bundle.
The PlayStation VR Launch Bundle ($499.99) includes:
PlayStation VR headset
PlayStation VR cables
Stereo Headphones
PlayStation VR Demo Disc
PlayStation Camera
2 PlayStation Move motion controllers
PlayStation VR Worlds Disc
The PlayStation VR Worlds disc includes five VR experiences:
1. The London Heist
2. Into the Deep
3. VR Luge
4. Danger Ball
5. Scavenger’s Odyssey
Update: John Koller, Vice President, PlayStation Brand Marketing, had the following to say in response to fans upset that the PS VR couldn’t be pre-ordered without a bundle: “Thanks to everyone for sharing their feedback on PlayStation VR pre-orders! It’s clear that there’s a lot of interest from many of you to secure the PlayStation VR core system, and I’m happy to share that we’ve decided to make it available for pre-order on Tuesday, March 29, at 7:00 a.m. PT at participating retailers.”
